Anthony & Jenny | Wedding

I have so much love for this family.  Jenny is the sister of an amazing woman & dear friend of mine, Anna, (and I’m so lucky to have her also as my neighbor!) and I just think the world of her and her family.  In some ways, I feel like she’s my family too.   So when I was asked to photograph Anthony & Jenny’s wedding at Seasons, it was an honor and a special chance for me to witness the joining of two people with a family that I feel a bond with already.

I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Jenny’s fiancé Anthony, and the moment I met him on his wedding day, I totally got it.  Immediately I sensed that he was a super great guy, super fun (and funny!), and has a big heart of love.  It was easy to see that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as I got the same feeling from his dearly sweet mother, Donna, as well.

It’s such a special feeling to be surrounded by a bride and a groom who are already so much a family already before saying their vows.  There is so much love across the family lines for each other, it’s almost as if they were born into one huge family, rather than 2 separate coming together.

I know I keep saying it, but it all comes back to two words… love and family.  And it’s really all that a wedding day should and ought to be.  And they certainly have much of both.

I couldn’t have shot this wedding alone.  In fact, I didn’t!  I had the awesome opportunity to photograph A&J’s big day alongside Emily of Emily Photography, a great photographer & dear friend of mine.  She took the lead and captured some amazing moments, and at the end of the night, it was such a treat to shoot this wedding with her.  You can check out her images from the wedding here.

As for my end of the camera, I had a hard time narrowing it down, but here are some of my favorites that I captured…

Jenny pulled off one of the biggest surprises I’ve ever witnessed in my life.  Talk about a special moment!!  During dinner, fortune cookies were passed out to each person in the room, and Jenny grabbed the mic and told the crowd there was a special surprise inside the cookie.  No one knew the secret except for Jenny, including her husband.  Anthony really had no idea what was going on, or what the surprise could be, or why his lovely wife was even making such an announcement…

The next set of photos are imperfectly perfect, as the moments unfold…

Surprise honey!!!…

… they’re expecting a beautiful baby BOY!!!

We all knew that A&J were expecting, but she was still a few weeks away from her doctor appointment to find out the gender.  She snuck into the doc’s office before their wedding date to find out and surprise everyone with the big news!!  How cool is that?!?

Everyone, including Anthony’s mother, is just over the moon excited for this little guy!!!

What a beautiful, beautiful night!!

Jenny & Anthony ~  I wish you a lifetime of much love and happiness!!!  But you know what… I know you’ll have that, because you already have that… I can see it when you are together and I can feel the love you have for one another.  Congratulations on your beautiful love and your beautiful family!!!  Big hugs to you!!!
