Little Man | At Home

It was a stay in your pjs kind of day… the kind you declare you’re not even stepping foot out the door to check the mail.  The house is a hot mess.  Macaroni & cheese was on the menu for lunch.  And it was goooood.

I had just gotten back from California, and my little man found my snazzy new headphones courtesy of Virgin Atlantic.  Hooray – new play toy!  He actually had no clue really what to do with them.  Sure – he knows an earbud (that’s my Apple-loving boy)… but what the heck are these things?!  I hooked up the iPhone, grabbed my camera, and this is what went down…

see the mac & cheese?  oh yeah that happenedthis. is. my. jam!!!big man gets in on the actionbust a movepeekaboothere’s that face.  that ever-loving face.

break it down now

I used to think I’d be that kind of parent who had it all together.  Everything cleaned & in order.  OCD style.  Hell, I used to be organized.  But then I had kids.  And that all went out the window.  Bottom line is, I just don’t care about those things like I thought I would.  But I care about these moments.  As imperfectly perfect as they are.  Macaroni & cheese stained cheeks and noses and all.
